Elon Musk reveals jaw-dropping DOGE find he had to read several times before it 'sank in'

Elon Musk revealed the jaw-dropping number of fraudulent unemployment claims his agency found, claiming he had to read the documents several times before it 'sank in.'

The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) is investigating wasted taxpayer money as a matter of urgency after Donald Trump promised voters huge savings at the federal government.

DOGE announced their findings from an initial survey of unemployment insurance claims since 2020 on Wednesday that shocked Musk.

The study found at least 24,500 people over 115 years old claimed $59 million in benefits.

At least 28,000 people under the age of five claimed $254 million in benefits, as well as 9,700 people with birth dates over 15 years in the future claimed $69 million in benefits, according to DOGE.

In one shocking case, DOGE said they found someone with a birthday in 2154 who claimed $41,000 in benefits.

Musk shared the findings on his X account, claiming he was so stunned by the numbers it took him multiple times to grasp the information.

'Your tax dollars were going to pay fraudulent unemployment claims for fake people born in the future,' Musk said. 'This is so crazy that I had to read it several times before it sank in.'

As outlined on the other thread... this nonsense from Musk has already been debunked as pure bullshiat.

    Let's mention three things:
    • Unemployment claims are handled by the states, not the federal government.
    • The "initial survey of Unemployment Insurance claims since 2020" information Musk is referencing states very directly in the text that the data is incomplete in regards to details on birth dates, etc.
    • The nonsense Musk is pushing about this unemployment claims data has already been debunked. Just like his claims that millions of people who are 150 years old are collecting Social Security have been debunked.

  3. States receive MASSIVE amounts of federal funding.

Any sign of a state losing control over its own fiscal management and fraud detection is a red flag for the federal funding agencies- or should be anyway- even if the evidence of the mismanagement occurs through state and/or local funding.

A state that has lost control or shows troublesome signs of losing control over its own program management should not be receiving federal funding until a remedial plan is in place or at minimum additional auditing should be required for those states.

Show a state that massive fraud or insufficient controls to detect massive fraud in its own state programs and I will show you a state that has problems with its fiscal management of the federal funds entrusted to it.

The unemployment system in every state is funded by premiums placed on businesses to provide the unemployment insurance. If a business lays off lots of people then the insurance premiums for these particular businesses increase.

Unemployment insurance in states is NOT funded by the federal government. In fact these programs are not even funded by state taxpayer money; they are funded by premiums on businesses. It is a form of insurance.

The information collected by the federal government in the "initial survey of Unemployment Insurance claims since 2020" states directly that it is incomplete. The survey data in no way indicates that any fiscal mismanagement is occurring in state unemployment programs, nor is there any signs of insufficient control.

Musk trying to use incomplete federal studies -- where even the study directly states the data is incomplete -- to make fabricated claims for fraud is laughable. Just as laughable as Musk's claims that millions of people 150 years old are collecting social security.

It's time for DOGE to be DOGE'd.

  5. You just missed the entire point I made. The entire point.

Most likely due to lack of knowledge and experience on your part.

But that point is not lost on anyone here who has managed either public or private funds, or both as I have.

    FACTS MATTER.

Musk has not discovered any fraud with unemployment claims. He is pushing bullshiat again and you & the MAGA crowd are swallowing it hook, line and sinker.

Just like you all parrotted Musk's non-factual fabricated claims about millions of 150 year old people getting social security checks.

The entire point is that Musk is peddling fabricated bullshiat again with the intent of undermining Americans trust in government and democracy.

Federal agencies reimburse dollar for dollar, so it's the states using funny paper work to get money from the UCFE.
