"Corporations are people my friend, where do you think the money goes? "They put it in their pocket!" funny, I almost always watch the Kudlow Report on cnbc at 7 et, and he made a claim based on a New York Times op ed that the corporate tax should be eliminated completely. Something I have often thought about, due to the fact that 20k pages of tax code are just ways to take my tax revenue and make it available to corporations that I may not have an investment in, since I am not a Washington insider. And the very next day, Ed Schultz on msnbc who I almost always watch at 5 et made a claim of how bad it would be. (and if you want a real trip in media entertainment, watch his show and read the tweets at the bottom of the screen.) They tax me when they make it, and then they tax me again when I take my profits It's just something I have always thought to be extremely unfair and only encourages corruption
the other side to it is, let's say you live in a nice sleepy little town, and a large corporation moves in. Suddenly you need wider roads with more stop lights, and a larger police force to handle all the new employees moving in. etc, etc who pays for it all?
Corporations don't pay taxes. Whenever a gov imposes a tax on a corp, they just raise the price of their goods and the customer pays
it would seem to me that eliminating the corporate tax and replacing it with a very high personal income tax would work, but it may fuck up your personal happiness for a while
one thing you can't deny if you think about it for a while, "high" taxes, whether imposed on the rich, the corporation or the people is always bad
well, that may be fine if you selling t shirts at walmart but if you are selling mining equipment to Australia it may not be quite so simple
