If we remember back to Enron PG&E was famous for "rolling blackouts" designed to drive up consumption prices while they offloaded extra electricity to neighboring states.

Who's to say this isn't happening again?

When the water's gone, which Massive Amounts of CA water is now since the release to the ocean of YUGE volumes of reservoir water to the ocean, well farming just got somewhat more expensive. What's a little water rationing for icing on the cake? Food's Overrated.
Indoor Running Water's Just A Fad.

You meet the nicest people on a forced march to the well 5 kilometers down that muddy road over there, mind the potholes. They Do make good swimming tho.

THIS is such a dispicable movie. EB knows her shit.
Never watch it again when you relax and have a homebrew. PG&E Works For You. Most, Well A Lot of the Time.

That was happening before and after Enron. They were just overt about it.

Particularly on the west coast. On days where you don't have a choice but to consume power for AC they jack the price astronomically. Same grid they want you to charge your electric cars on.

    Epic folly.

I'm not far from a nuclear power plant and our rates stay flat all year and are relatively low.

Grids need rethinking. A less "griddy" topology is needed.

California will need to generate their own power. Hoover Damn was not built for Las Vegas, it was built to supply water and power to Los Angeles and the water level is close to dropping below the lowest intakes in the lake. The clock is ticking and Oregon has already told them to fuck off so far as water.
