Eldorado Trading???

  1. Can anyone tell me what Eldorado Trading's reputation is like? I haven't heard a lot about it and I am looking for insight here. Thanks.

  2. Alrighty. I landed a job with them within the past 2 years but quit due to personal reasons. They mainly trade eurodollar futures (not the currency) spreads. There are currently two locations: Chicago and Denver. I would say its been a good experience and the place is legit. Training is legit and you are given a fair shot. The only downside is the pay for junior traders which is 25k per year and with no benefits. For the first year, junior guys are mentored by senior guys and trade in the Asian and European market hours. After a year, you are given your own account and a shot to become a senior trader. All in all not a bad place to work at all. Social life will take a hit for a year though but the strategy works and the money is there. Feel free to shoot more questions.

This is pretty typical of most fixed income shops. Although Breakwater, TMG, Chopper (before they were bought out) all paid higher salaries but also were probably tougher to get into.
