It is the start of that economic posturing season. Can or will their pronouncements between mouthfuls of caviar and bubbly make a difference this year or shall we get the usual platitudes and disinformation ?

What would you like to hear from our dear leaders.

  2. Will anyone ever make the Son of Strangelove ?

I would like to hear from them that they intend to take a more important role in the World situation. They should more or less control the economic situation and are more likely to understand it than the politicians. On past events the politicians have come up woefully short. They are much more likely to waste the available money and should therefore only have to spend what the economists think is prudently possible.

The cred gap between those at the top and the rest who have to suffer their mistakes is already large.

    ?????????????????????????

  5. Davos is the book talking ski vacation for the rich. Nothing of any real substance comes out of this event.

Dr. Strangelove was on IFC last week and it was rumored that Kubrick wanted Terry Gilliam to make the sequel, Son of Strangelove.

This affair should be moved into late March. It is generally far too cold still at that latitude for the best skiing. The gluhwein by the fire will be delightful nevertheless. Better yet, move the whole business to Aspen for the first week in April. Ajax is perfect at that time, and a good chance of finding shirtsleeve skiing.

Interesting listening to the interviews by Steph and Erick.

The billionaroes can meet and do business in luxury surroundings. Not a politician in sight. Now that must have taken some organising.
