If you are in the US I would get this:

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814139017

    JATON Video-PX8600GT-256 GeForce 8600GT 256MB 128-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 SLI Supported Video Card - Retail $77.99

PCI-E x16 and two DVI ports. Can run 2 DVI monitors. If you aren't running DVI then you could get a cheaper card.

  4. go googling for rebates. got a gigabyte/nvidia 7000 series with vga and dvi out for 4.99 after rebate. not to powerful but powerful enough.
