That's not new. Reddit is home of echo chambers especially the r/politics subreddit. That's true of most forums. Feeding a program only one sided information will always create wrong answers. I'm pretty sure the overreaction to Trump's tariffs was the same. It was traders/investors repeating the same thing over and over until they convinced themselves Trump was out to destroy the US. These people love the Project 2025 conspiracy theory.
1. a third of project 2025 (about 125 items) have been implemented or attempted or in process. 2. Trump openly said he didn’t care if we went into a recession or how the market reacted. It was only after the market experienced one of the fastest selloffs in history did Bessent convince him that the selloff would continue at a faster and faster rate as more people cry uncle. The market wasn’t an echo chamber like 4chan. It was rational people responding to their tape. We all have varying degrees of pain we can take before we liquidate. I was up 10percent on Sunday night and contemplated liquidating everything as it was possible my business wouldn’t survive and we import nothing and about 30percent of what we make is exported. I agree about the one sided info.
