All the others seem to predict them earlier. Does this still look like a possibility?
lol.book review on the 100000k book:" I highly recommend Dow 100,000 Fact or Fiction by Charles W. Kadlec. This well-researched work clearly and concisley maps out a blueprint for a period of unprecedented economic prosperity."
This one published in 2002 said a deflationary crash was coming. http://www.amazon.com/Conquer-Crash...=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1243369415&sr=1-3 but this one published in 2009 by one of the dow 40,000 guys said the market will crash. http://www.amazon.com/Great-Depression-Ahead-Following-Greatest/dp/1416588981/ref=bxgy_cc_b_text_a but he published this in 2006 (the next great boom 2006-2010) http://www.amazon.com/Next-Great-Bu...=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1243369578&sr=1-2
So will stocks go up on a hyperinflation scenario. I read that is what happened to the Zimbabwe stock market. So buying over time equites is probably a good idea right?
Dow 100,000 by 2020 huh? Well, let's do a little math. ((100,000 / 8473) ^ ( 1 / 11 ) ) - 1 = a compound rate of 25.15%. That's considerably less than what I thought the answer would be but I say no, it can't be done. Has the Dow ever returned that over an 11 year period before? I doubt it but if so, can that be accomplished with the absence of debt that drove the roaring 90's? Conclusion: Don't hold your breathe waiting.
