So sad and worrisome. http://www.independent.co.uk/news/w...trump-popularity-ratings-barack-a7710781.html
Misleading headline, don't you think? Trump expressed dissatisfaction with some of the "rules" of congress and procedures on how things get done, that's all.
Taking stuff out of context is why fake news gets thrown around so much. I agree, it's silly and stupid.
Hm, calling senate and congress rules archaic and in need of change because it prevents his unopposed reign is the same as calling constitution archaic document. Checks and balances are there for a reason. This also comes from a guy who was saying the same about electoral college, until of course it led to his victory. Basically, anything he does not like "at the moment" is bad and in need of change.
Do you seriously not understand the difference between the Constitution and internal congressional rules? The real problem is not Trump or congressional rules. It is an out of control, politicized federal judiciary. This was a serious problem before Trump but has now taken on crisis proportions, as they now purport to dictate national security policy, something expressly delegated to the Executive Branch.
It's nothing of the sort. The Constitution was put in place by the founders of the nation. Rules in congress or the senate were put there by congressmen and senators, some rules as recent as this year. And they were put there with intent to block the other party in many cases. No argument on the final comment here. Anything he doesn't like is bad and in need of change. Pretty much like many of us on this planet.
They use to have headlines Famous Person Admits He Beats His Wife, you'd buy it and on page 38 would be a quote, "Yeah I beat my wife, I beat her at chess." They called them supermarket tabloids. Nobody but a few gullible took them seriously.
What is sad is Trump is covering for the crooked establishment sellouts in Congress by blaming the structure. These sobs in the house and senate ran on repealing Obamacare... But they obviously don't want to do it because they get money from Wall Street and Insurance companies. The base wants lower taxes and controlled spending. yet they want to keep funding planned parenthood. the list goes on and on. I was hoping Trump had the guts to confront them and use his bully pulpit plus twitter to call them out. Sadly... he is attempting to work with them. I would much rather see him stand up for what he ran on and get nothing done... ... and call out the obstructionist establishment republicans... they should be in fear of getting replaced and then in 2 to 4 years Trump can get his agenda passed. If he held to his convictions he would defeat the establishment republicans and democrats.
Then I stand corrected, and was wrong. I never read constitution in its entirety and assumed that checks and balances were in it. Gives me a good motivation to read it.
