Isn't that the show that starts at 6AM ET? Who the hell wants to watch a national news program in the US at 6AM? People want their local news first, so they watch their preferred major network affiliates. ABC, CBS, NBC etc.

“CNN This Morning,” which airs from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. ET, came in last place of the three cable networks in the early morning by drawing in a total viewership of 387,000 and 71,000 viewers in the demo on average. In the 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. time slot, Fox News took first place with 1.5 million total viewers and 236,000 viewers in the demo, while MSNBC came in second with 793,000 total viewers — doubling CNN’s total viewership — and 114,000 viewers in the demo on average.

I can tell you what...There's probably 15,000,000 people in New England. Half of those watch the news in the morning when they wake up. Half of those watch the local networks to get the local news updates, traffic, and weather. I mean, they gotta' get to work and need to know what to wear. If the other half watch CNN, then that is 3.75 million. So that's 3.75 million people watching local news, and 3.75 mil watching CNN.

  5. I just hope that when the numbers get really bad that Don does not cry.

    Hate it when he cries.

Its interesting that MSNBC was seen once as a far left network but is more popular than CNN now. I think CNN represents the center left and MSNBC represents the progressive Democrats or Social Democrats. Fox News is a mix of old Conservatives (NeoCons) and the new Trump Right.

My conclusion is the political watching crowd has become more bifurcated which matches the rise of Trump/DeSantis & Sanders/AOC. I read multiple political forums like Reddit and most political forums usually become an echo chamber of Progressives or MAGA Republicans. There is little support for Centrists anymore. Both Progressives and MAGA Republicans seem a little kooky to me.

  7. Centerist coverage doesnt get ratings really so CNN and FOX had to go far.away.from center to get viewers in that 7pm - 11pm range.

The MSM's definition of "centrist" is basically 90's Republican so no one's buying into that shit. MSM's notorious for not seeing the obvious until it's too late because they want to be nice to righties and not condemn straight up fascism.

CNN is under new management and it's been cleaning house of pundits. Don Lemon was sent to the shittiest time slot of the day to die b4 getting the axe so this should come as surprise to no one.

  10. Another weekend anchor was fired too...looks like they are trying to save a sinking ship but not trying too hard because they may be 3rd but they are still going to get viewers.
