Does Bitcoin trade 365/24/7? Not only for buying & selling but does the price also fluctuate 365/24/7?
Not only that, the Bitcoin network has a 99.98% uptime over the last 11 years. There's not a more secure, bigger and longer lasting uptime network on the planet. It really is quite amazing.
how should the price fluctuate if it is not traded??? the network is up 24/7/365, trading is up 24/7/365 and that is basically the reason why the majority of the activity won't ever happen on the CME.
Stock trading network has 100% uptime over last hundreds of years. Nothing stops you from making transactions with someone else. It’s the various brokers and exchanges that have problems, both stock brokers and crypto exchanges. It’s just easier to get robbed trading crypto. When was the last time anyone’s stock/shares were stolen?
I think you're missing the point Zero. Also, Wall Street closed for 4 months in 1914 as well for about a week less than 20 years ago, 9/11. So no 100% uptime as you suggest. How would 9/11 have effected the Bitcoin network? It would have rolled along like it always does (apart from that 0.02%). As far as getting robbed of your Bitcoin or losing it via a hack, owning BTC is an education movement as much as anything else, so not hard to learn to protect your holdings.
