WU. It sure looks cheap, and they had a good quarter. Sounds like they are a turn around type company. I bought some at $10.85. Of course its dropped. 10.68.
Western Union is becoming a sinking ship. Nobody wants to give an I.D and pay fees to send money that takes a few hours to reach it's destination, followed by fees and inconvienence to the receiver. Not to mention Western Union doesn't like anyone running a business. Too much hassle too little convienence, and it's amazing they are still up and running today
no, i lost money on wu, cut losses after nearly a year of hold, after jack ma was banned to buy them.
Oh absolutely, well aware. But that is all changing. And their gaap #'s are solid. $1B in buyback also. Plus an 8.8% dividend. At a PE of 4, I don't see too much downside risk. But, who knows. They did just launch an international digital wallet service.
Do whatever you feel is best. But to me, they are a step behind everything else. And now they are trying to be ahead of all the free money services by offering a digital wallet? It's a no from me man. Hint * Payfi crypto is supposed to be the next big thing next to Defi
Maybe, but there are so many digital options to move money around. Also, most Walmarts have a financial services desk that allows you to instantly and cheaply transfer money to a specific person to be collected at another Walmart.
