I have started trading Toronto stocks a bit and was wondering if anyone knew how they close the individual stocks. I used to trade NYSE so I am familiar with that but the close of one of
My stocks on Friday got me wondering how things work in Toronto.

I have a small position of Ovintiv (OVV) it traded between 14-15 on Friday. Right on the close it was 14.57-14.59. So the maket closes, no news to speak of, and I see in my account they list the close as 13.98. Down like 65 cents from what I thought was the close. Is that where a specialist closed it because of a large closing order? Or did someone market out in after hours trading and get a horrible fill?

My one minute chart shows a huge down turn on abnormal volume in the last minute.

I believe TSX is electronic so the bots might have gotten out of control.

I just noticed that OVV also trades on NYSE and the last minute spike was up.

Maybe some kind of arbitrage play.
