I can't drink any Budweiser beers due to their brewing methods. I get the "Budweiser headache" after two or three of them. About 30% of people get the headache.

Yep, "headache in a can" it was called when I was in university over 30 years ago now. But it was cheap so we drank it anyway. Stella Artoir also caused headaches and was called "Wifebeater" as it had a little too high alcohol content and was named such by the police.

For some reason I can drink Stella without a headache. My favorite beer these days is Carlsburg pilsner.

ROFL, Bud light, Miller lite, etc, and for that matter regular Bud, Miller, etc. just ain't beer except in name only.
After I had my first Guinness I knew what beer actually was supposed to be. I guess I am a Stout and Lager fanatic, or should say was since I am no longer drinking. Funny thing, only thing I miss is a Guinness. Hard alcohol I don't miss at all, and wine I never got in the first place, other than they have a great marketing group.

Its hard to beat a very good Guinness though I've always been more partial to Smithwicks which is an Irish red ale. I'm also fond of IPA which is a great winter drink for the beer garden as it is served at room temperature. Of course I quit smoking so no more beer gardens in the snow for me...sigh..

It's very difficult for me to drink enough to get more that tipsy (born with a hollow leg but also prone to hangovers) so I've always seen beers as a quality sipping thing vs getting trashed. Larger can get very acid though on a super hot day. Heineken is particularly bad for me (Amstel oddly is OK), a cold Carlsberg is superb. Or a draft apple cider..

I have however had a lot of Coors light over the years and if I have to drink a lite, that's the favourite for me.

One of the clues I needed to quit, among much more important ones, was I could drink a lot and seem completely normal, but also wasn't getting hangovers anymore. That was a blessing and curse.
Light beers, and regular beer I could drink all day like water, as that is what I tasted, no real flavor.
I liked Carlsberg, but was never a fan of the Heineken taste. For the most part my Guinness and the like were for sipping and enjoying. I'd have maybe 3 watching a football(American) game. A beer I had in Minneapolis at a restaurant was Monk's Blood. That was a fantastic beer, but I couldn't get it at a store so that was the only time I had it. I think it was from a brewery in San Francisco.
IPA's I never understood, I just never enjoyed any that I tried. I guess like Guinness and the Lagers and Stouts you find what you enjoy, and it is great to have a variety so you can find what you like.

Then you would have loved Bud Dry back in the day. It was literally just water and alcohol, zero taste. It had a slightly higher proof than others IIRC, thus that combined with no taste and yer off to the races fast.

One of the best beers I've ever had was Michelob at the brewery. Bush Gardens used to have a tram that went to the brewery and they gave you a ticket(s) for 1 or 2 beers for free. Some people were giving us their ticket for beer, and the brewery guy had to cut us off LOL. Damn, that was some good beer.

I used to like a cold BW in the returnable "long neck" bottles that were only sold to taverns and bars. I was talking to a guy that worked for Bud and he said the best beer (every batch has subtle differences) goes in the long necks, next best goes in kegs, and the rest in retail bottles and cans.
