I put some comments in a few journals where incorrect calls were made...the remarks were promptly removed. Do the mods remove constructive critique of wrong way calls? Most trading boards do not ever edit a journal unless there is profane language. Is this board exceptional in that regard?
Yes, journals are moderated. We generally don't remove "constructive critique", but we do remove snotty comments when brought to our attention, profane or not. Don't remember removing any of your posts but I'll be on the lookout for them in the future, thanks for bringing this up.
Mine were not the only ones removed. I see no point in making comments in the journals section if calls are edited after the fact and commentary removed. What use is that section to any reader or trader if the journals section is nothing more then fiction. Scanning through this feedback section reveals I am not the first one to bring this issue forward.

Mods - there are too many threads on this board about race hate. I don't see how this improves the quality of the board. example today in chit chat a thread was started slating an entire race because of thrash talk from some fella called Snoop Dog. Really ?
Magna, Are you saying that moderators here at Elite Trader censure the posts made by its members? I always believed that contributions (excluding those that are clearly profane and/or that use inappropriate language) should NEVER be censured by anyone. Can you clarify, or do I have the point correct?
Boulderdash! Magna encourages racist and nazi posts by the fake SEAL from Tahoe , but my posts about Google are Yahoo finance. Edits the journals, messes with the clock...LMAO! Im laughing! Pure comedy!
"Censure" means to criticize or reproach in a harsh or vehement manner. I think you mean "censor" as in government censorship. We are not the government, but a privately owned business which has moderated forums and sets certain rules of conduct. Posts are seldom edited other than to delete objectionable words/phrases, but posts may be removed in total for a variety of reasons: being off-topic, inappropriate language, abusive comments, multiple objections and complaints by members, etc. I appreciate your belief regarding censorship and that you voiced it in your very 1st post here. With regards to the editing or removal of posts you are welcome to do as you think best in your business, and on your forums if you have them. Here we do what we think is best to keep the trading forums civil, topical, informative, and enjoyable to most.
