Of course the answer is a resounding YES! I'm surprise there are people on this forum who believe otherwise. Though I suspect their ego is the influence for believing such BS. Every political appointment ALWAYS affects the markets. Someone recently posted a chart on difference of election year vs non-election years for the S&P 500, therefore no excuse for ignorance. There are tons of data that show blatantly how politics affects the markets. For your reading pleasure. https://arqwealth.com/how-is-the-stock-market-impacted-by-politics/
the answer is no, because all politicains are in it for the money. have you seen even one politician want to serve for free?
The market is a big Ponzi balloon puffed up with hot air. Controlling the customer by law or monopolizing essentials is the actual value. Inflation forces investment in stocks, everything is forced.
A Polish man is in the bread line A guy pops his head out and says, "sorry, but we are out of bread." The Pole in line begins shouting: "I have lived in this country all my life! I have lived my life for Communism! Now I have no bread after waiting in line for 2 hours! What were we fighting for? Communism sucks! I hate this country!" A big fellow in a trench coat puts his arm around the man and says "comrade, comrade, please, do not go on so. Remember in the old days, what would happen to someone who said such things?" And he puts his finger to his head like it's a gun. The old Pole goes back home, and when he opens the door, his wife says "what's the matter? Are they out of bread?" "Worse," says the man. "They're out of bullets."
Trump said "Fed should not cut before the election"... but Trump also said that he would not reappoint JPow for another term. So.. what does JPow do? He cuts.. (perhaps even excessively) which pleases the Dems and Harris... and signals FU to Trump.
I think you are missing the point. Yes, "politics" affects the markets because of say differences in tax policy for example. However, you will quickly notice that the discussion of "politics" on EliteTrader quickly turns into, which candidate is evil, blah blah. It doesn't matter to the markets which candidate is evil.
