Do I care if everybody making extravagant claims! With the new Blocking feature.

  1. 1. No, I don't care. Nothing I could do to stop that! Except lodging a Dislike!

  2. 2. No, I don't care. Because I'll do the same! But I might lodge a Dislike against others!

  3. 3. Yes, I do care. But I couldn't do anything about it! Except lodging a Dislike!

Couldn't care less, blocking feature or not.

If the claims are true, good for them.

    If they're not, who cares?

  3. It's simply a little bit annoying, but not a huge issue to me.
A bit like someone at a gym telling you over and over again how they can easily bench 180kg, and when you ask them to show you, they make endless excuses, lol.
It's obvious that those here who have been 'mentoring' for years and making great claims of success and endlessly annotating hindsight charts showing great entries or making very vague, nebulous calls do NOT actually make any money and aren't able to trade without the benefit of hindsight.
However, it happens on every trading forum, so it's nothing new.

Well, we all know when you surf such public domain, you always need to use your better judgments. As those sneaky yet very eloquent gurus making all kinds of claims, most victims are those too naive and newbies, as they are fascinated with those EASY systems.

Some guru claimed they have a great system, and yet after trading over 30-40 years and they would wake up 5 or 6 in the morning to catch a trade; it makes you wonder how much money they made over those 30-40 years of trading, and how good their systems really are.

Without a doubt, one the STUPIDEST comments I've read on ET!

Who the hell are you to judge the lifestyle of anyone: trader, vagrant, guru, piker, whatever.

Being in the Pacific Time Zone, my trading day starts at 5am (to catch 8:30am EST reports) and ends no later than 1pm almost every trading day. I could quit tomorrow and be in the 1% for the rest of my days. Guru or not has no affect whatsoever on which hours are my waking hours and how I choose to spend the time within those hours. Big difference between want and need.

I am not a guru and you are an idiot!

I bet many of these long time high rollers have tried retirement but got bored so continued doing what they love to do.

That's how I managed to retire in the first place.

Why do I still do it? Because I enjoy it. What else would I do? Watch TV?

My comment has nothing to do with you at all (I don't even recall reading any of your posts), and it is funny that you took it so hard as you feel offended.

I didn't mean those live in the west coast (or Europe) in my previous comment. I live in the east coast and market opens at 9:30. I should have thought of that. What I tried to say was that there is a particular guru claiming some of his followers retired after a few years of trading, while he still woke up in the early morning to catch a trade after having traded 3-4 decades. If his system is that good he should have made ton of money and retired even earlier. Some people have a passion to trade and trade all night through, that is totally fine and a different matter.
