1- With IBKR basic plan, I get to see maximum 3 books order depths. Is this so with all brokers? Is there another broker or chart provider that allows multiple book depths simultaneously at a reasonable rate? 2- Is getting live stream data from another source and trading on IBKR a risk? i.e. is it possible that data / prices may not match or is there a central organization that feeds all live stream market orders to all brokers.
No, any stock if I open more than three order depths (called Book Trader in TWS IBKR) it tells me I have to purchase more subscriptions. But I am also interested in the same with Forex too.
It depends on brokers, how much you pay for the data , trading platform etc etc etc. for my case, I can see some ladders with just one level, and some more than 10 levels. more level --> higher operating cost.
Yes, it does. But they only show 3 books and ask $30 for each other simultaneous book. If I want to look at book depth for 100s of books their pricing doesn't make sense. Anyone can recommend a better place I can get depth of book much cheaper? @Robert Morse why is depth of book so expensive anyway? (What is the technical challenge)
