been away from ET for awhile. I'll post various nonsense here including p&l as I get myself back into trading, gym posts (no selfies, sorry queen(s)) as I get myself back on track with lifting, and hopefully anything else interesting. I tend to go in & out of wanting to do stuff like this, but ultimately it ends up helping me to have some sort of accountability outside of my wife & daughter asking how shit is going lol. trades will be in micro ES (& maybe NQ) for awhile unless I get on a really good streak, but I don't foresee that jump to minis happening until probably Dec/Jan. just doesn't make sense yet. technical trader, frequency unknown for now, but at least a couple of hours per day is what I would guess (combined efforts). tl;dr - getting back to ET, trying to get my shit together globally, all trolls & comments welcome. I don't fight much but if the armodafinil is hitting hard on a particular day, I might be spicier than usual.
current standings: lifted for the first time today in months. I had planned to last Saturday and stomach fell apart on the way to Gold's. listening to myself was the right call as I've had a full-on stomach virus from then until 2 days ago. fevers/aches/etc. anyway, lifts were good. I am reverting back to my intermittent fasting & reverse-pyramid training. (Leangains). flat bench 235-4 (? so weak omg) / 215-7 dips bodyweight x5 / x7 (??????????) curls 80lbs x8, x10 pushdowns 80-10, 72.5-12 close grip bench 185-6, 165-10. weight 277 (i'm 6'6). 24-25% BF. holding about 10lbs of water from a replacement dose of GH, which I am dropping. can't stand the retention. target weight is 220 and single digits. I've been there before, just far too long ago. it's a reasonable goal inside of 8-9 months.
I turn 39 in a month, it's not a vanity thing if that's what you're wondering? I don't like carrying around weight that I shouldn't, outside of all the obvious health benefits of dropping an excess 50lbs. to answer the "then what" - maintain, build up cardio capacity, and add to my lifts.
Don't blow your O-ring out. Bench isn't bad although I suppose it's less impressive in relation to your size.
I mean, once you are back in shape. What's next? Is fitness a life goal for you or is it serving a different purpose? Most people who eat responsibly and walk regularly can maintain a healthy body weight and composition without engaging in strenuous exercise.
I think I understand now. having been on both ends of the spectrum, life is just so much better being that 'fit' if you want to call it that. ultimately I'd like to transition out of lifting-focused training and into gymnastics-based training, but I have some injuries to tend to before that can even be an option. i also find lifting therapeutic, which (the lack thereof) has been made obvious with life over the last few/several years. a simpler answer would be - i've been far out of balance for far too long, so it's time to restore that balance.
thanks! pain is relative. xD it will be nice to get sorted out after so long. all the best to you, feel free to drop by anytime.
Yoga has done me wonders . Spinal fusion ceramic disc in my neck. Kicking ass now, almost a 6 pack, love doing cardio
