Differences between each route?

  1. Hi. Pretty new to trading so if any of you can help I'd really appreciate it. I'm currently using Suretrader Active Web and they only offer 2 routes: ARCA and BATS, which cost 0.004 and 0.003 respectively. I'm thinking about upgrading to the Pro version so that I can use cheaper routes like NITE, which costs only 0.001.

Can you guys tell me the differences? I mostly trade stocks under $5 and they're from NASDAQ and OTC. Can I use NITE instead of the other 2 and would the trade still be executed properly?

    Thanks,

  2. "SureTrade to Short Penny Stocks or because you are not living in the United States?

Are you collecting rebates? Sure Trade's US Partner "Speed Trader" might be a better choice if you can get them down to the commission level I had when i first started.

I had $.99 (Mininum Ticket) $.0029 per share along with -.0025 by using Limit Orders to buy on Direct EDGX or $-0021 ARCA.

I have used every ECN possible, you are getting charged to use NITE? I would avoid BATS and use ARCA every time, BATS is not worth it! Your not providing enough details for us to give you any advice, my volume was huge!

1000 shares costed $2.90 minus $2.50 in ECN rebates equals $.40 per trade.

If you are willing to go bigger, I had the $4.00 per ticket, I could buy 30,000 on the BID (Using a Reserve Book), get $75 back in rebates. My total trade costed $-71 dollars when I bought in size. Why are you using Sure Trader and paying so much money? Before Speed Trader when weird, I was not paying nothing to trade!
