The news has reported her ailment as pneumonia, and some form of heat exhaustion. Now, I would never be so ignorant as to accuse the media of lying to us, but if she had pneumonia, why didn't we hear about it until now? Also, having experience with pneumonia, I coughed a lot, and my lungs hurt, but I never randomly passed out. As for heat exhaustion, I live in the NY area, and it was a beautiful, cool, fall day--and there's lots of shade in that area.
No, he isn't kidding. Not the part about the media covering for Clinton. Not the part about her giving the appearance of a heart attack. Someone I care about had a heart attack right in front of me and was on his feet the whole time and took a cab to the hospital. Most heart attacks aren't a "drop down on the ground unconscious" thing.
Honestly when I saw the video, that's what I thought. Either that, or a stroke. It looked like she lost the use of one leg. ..unless you want to believe the conspiracy theory, that the whole thing was staged. No disrespect; irrespective of political party, if it is a serious health issue, my prayers are with her.
Bill Clinton, by all accounts, had a standing heart attack himself. After he recovered he seemed to understand what his doctor told him and went vegan, lost a ton of weight and gave himself quite a few extra years. He looks pretty diminished though and has lost a lot of upper body musculature. You can see how skinny his neck looks now. There is a decision to made in your 50s. You can either get on the treadmill or bike and start eating a bit better or... not. Many of my friends and family eat too much rich food and I've fallen to this temptation myself on a few occassions. Now I limit french restaurants to about once per month or so which infuriates some around me but I decided I would like to be around 20 years from now and I would like to be able to ski as long as possible.
The key is to have healthy friendships; to have people around you that have made the healthy choices. We all need friends. Without those healthy friendships, it's too easy to turn to food, drink, or some other unhealthy habit for comfort.
