Did anyone guess YUM would fall off a cliff? Are you churning it after-hours, I am playing with 900 to 2000 lots having fun. Be safe!
Do you think its right a Brokerage in our time does not have access to After-Hours Trading? As I churn this stock, my heart goes out to you. Its like having a girlfriend that make's you get neutered or castrated because she's afraid of the risk of sex. You take all the risk since you can't get out at $80 once the fall began. As I churn this stock, I really feel bad for people who have Brokerages that do not care enough about their clients to give them the extra edge of protection. You could be the best man in bed, treat her like a Queen and still she wants you to get your balls cut off because of fear she's going to get pregnant and have to take care of the children. That's why they don't do it, the risk of capital, having to provide staff past 16:00, your not worthy! Their not the only Broker, a few others don't allow After-Hours trading, so when you are looking for a nice Brokerage, see if they have Pre-Market or AH trading if your risk profile allows. http://www.elitetrader.com/et/index.php?threads/tradier-brokerage.284178/page-2#post-4188842
RT Trade the damn thing - don't fall in love with it..., or get excited You got a winner - book the profit One's losing - that is their problem RN
Thank you Redneck, I am churning it now, it looks like $69.30 is the current price point. Did you catch this on the Short Side? I wish I did, some great traders made good money! Today with MCD after stalling at $102.00 it felt like it was time to sell, when I wrote my MCD idea I was hoping people could catch a quick scalp. Today I added to everything, even MCD when it opened up at $101.1 I began buying Calls. Thank's for the advice Redneck, you keep yourself safe too! This China Story is now the New Excuse for nasty Earnings, a lesson we need to learn from.
For a stock like yum to drop that hard after hours...that's pretty significant... This is just the start of earnings season.....this one stock could bring down the markets tomorrow....
Redneck last FB trade I made during Earnings I was trading it while FB was playing with $98+. It felt heavy, very heavy and $100 seemed like a hard number to pierce, just like $70 is on YUM at this moment. Did you trade it after hours? I still think YUM will bust $70 after adding add more at $68.70 again. How did you play FB on their last earnings?
You know their all going to use "The China Slow-Down Syndrome to justify everything, I like the thought of buying some YUM Calls with all the gains from this trade. Bummed I did not get to Short it, glad I sold all my Calls I bought last week and advised my friends to dump it.
Here come's our $70, you think $71+? Good Luck! Let's listen to Redneck and not get greedy unless real size appears people! Redneck's wisdom is good, his advice will save us all from being so greedy. Redneck, did you notice with Facebook how it open's the next day versus how the After-hours gang trades it?
Maybe you have noticed too how Facebook will open down until the Big Money Mammas and Pappa Hedge Funds bully it back up to its previous Close or higher? On the July Earnings I was trading the FB Weekly Calls before Earnings, had fun and made nice change when FB finally made it towards our goal of $100.00 I thought we would hit $100 until large amounts of shares kept pushing it down from the spiked up high of $99+ dow to $93.00 I move pretty quick, do my best not to hold stocks or options yet I did not know what to do after selling my Facebook Calls in to the $99 Spike. We both trade Facebook, I trade the Weeklies and I don't know if you trade the physical or leaps? With FB she fell to $93, so I buy the $97 Calls again for $3.00 with time past its earnings date. I bought about 60 Calls, nothing huge. In to Facebook's earnings I posted a Sell Short of 2500 shares and they got filled at $97 and FB did a quick spike and begin its nose dive! I Shorted more Facebook and watched it blow past the big blocks on EDGX, ARCA, NASD. You never see this type of size during the trading day, they don't post 500,000 bid size, their more discrete! I saw 250,000 shares on ARCA get smashed like nothing at $92, I joined in again. I was short 8000 shares of FB watched it destroy the BIDs at $92, someone puts out 98,000 on EDGX, another 150,000 on ARCA and 200,000 on NASD and their smashed at $92.30 with a ask of 500,000 showing at $92.30 driving it further down. When FB finally hit $91.00, I put in my BTC cover at $90.70 getting hit quick thinking, "Oh its going to hit $85 but why not let someone else have the money?" FB stopped selling at $90.00 We both know when it stops selling in AH after a big move like that, its time to jump back on. Grabb. I bought my first 1100 shares at $90.60, $91.40, $92 and near $94 before selling them all below the price point the Bulls try to force, $94.48 is where they filled. The Openings of NYSE stocks. FB, I thought those calls would become worthless, wrong! Last Earnings in July I got cash back from those Calls, previous and the Earnings Call before July's the same thing happened. How do you trade Facebook? The Earning Call that helped us blow past $80 was great because its previous Earning Call was akin to my July FB. Have you noticed how certain NYSE stocks open up far better than After-Hours prices are?
