The MPD authorizes the type of force Derek Chauvin used. Any normal person that didn't have a lethal amount of fentanyl would've survived. Worst case scenario, he gets manslaughter. A murder charge will not stick. Definitely possible he gets acquitted to which low information people that don't watch the case will be outraged and they'll burn and loot even more.
Any prosecuting attorney worth his salt will never let this go to trial and instead will offer a plea deal, because there is ZERO CHANCE they will be able to find an impartial jury to try it with. If they attempt it, defense will call a mistrial, and case will end with no justice.
Defense attorney will make the claim that they cannot get a fair trial and asked to get it moved. I am sure the DA will fight that. Defense cannot call a mistrial just because they believ the jury is impartial because the defense plays a role in picking the jury. A motion for mistrial can be raised and rejected by the judge...it is not automatic. Also a mistrial means you can try the case again.
Anyone who thinks that a cop is taught to knee the neck of a guy on the floor on his stomach in handcuffs for 8 minutes when he is not resisting at all while 3 cops stand around and watch just shows how happy they are a Black person died...and is reinforcing their position on the Autistic Spectrum
Fixed that bit for you... As for the mistrial bit? You can be darn sure that with all these buggers who cannot resist using their phones in the biggest deal since Rodney King, they will never find a jury that can be quiet, will be impartial, and fair in the case. I feel that no matter how many times they try the thing, it will always end in a mistrial. Therefore, no justice. At least the perps will be stuck in jail for those many years while this process goes on.
yes I meant to say NOT impartial... They can sequester the jury. Also this trial will not last more than a few days, there is not a lot of evidence or testimony needed with all the video evidence.
https://www.usatoday.com/story/news...aint-allowed-minneapolis-can-kill/5274334002/ This is how liberal run cities allow you to treat black people. I know it seems wrong and dangerous, but that's how liberals run their police departments. You ever notice black people are rarely killed by the police in republican controlled areas?
Too bad for Chauvin that klobochar was not still the DA there. She would just put it before the grand jury but not have her assistant DA's argue any real case. Just flop a sketchy summary of the case before the grand jury and then ask em what they think, without the state taking a position. Then she would say that she put it before the grand jury and they chose not to indict. And Chauvin would be out and about - maybe pick up something at Arby's - and then on to his next police brutality incident. He knows the drill and so did Klobo. Sure dems, go with Biden, Klobo, Val Demmings, and Kamala. Get ready to put your splain' hats on. They all have long records of locking those nasty ole blacks up and siding with the jackbooters.
He had a potentially lethal amount. You hurt your argument by doing that lightweight stuff RaRa. The families medical report reads very differently and this will have to be reconciled. From an NBC article. "A separate autopsy commissioned for Floyd’s family also called his death a homicide. It concluded that that he died of asphyxiation due to neck and back compression, said the family’s attorney, Ben Crump, who called for the charge against Chauvin to be upgraded to first-degree murder and for three other officers to be charged. He didn't say what the charges against the other officers should be. That autopsy, by a forensic pathologist who also examined Eric Garner’s body, found the compression cut off blood to Floyd’s brain, and that the pressure of other officers' knees on his back made it impossible for him to breathe, Crump said." The female dispatcher who saw the surveillance camera footage feed made the comment to the effect call me a snitch if you like.. and expressed concern that the use of force seemed excessive to her and the others. We may well have a situation where process (dangerous process) was followed but a problem is the cover story the police usually issue have people not believing them anymore. There is a similar issue in medicine, honesty seems rarely the policy. A lot hinges on the actual and immediate reason he became unconscious, if it is a cartiod compression deal then it will come down to whether there was a provable motive for murder or not.
