Hill Democrats are calling on Attorney General Merrick Garland and the Justice Department to file legal challenges against any college or university that engages in discriminatory practices – including legacy admissions,” Punchbowl News reports.

“This comes after the Supreme Court struck down the use of affirmative action for college admissions, a hugely controversial ruling that will impact students and institutions across the country.”

Right on, hugely controversial, which is EXACTLY why the supreme Court has weighted in and had its final say. Case closed. Its done, over. Finally hard working Asian students get their fair chance again to get rewarded.

It'd be seen as "partisan" and uncivil. I remember similar calls for abortion protections post Roe. Did anything ever come out of that?

I'm sure this group will have issues with the Democrats proposed law

Universities offer scholarships and host programs dedicated to securing enrollment of their alumni’s children.
Attending an HBCU provides legacy students with educational support and a deep-rooted connection to Black culture that their parents experienced but through their own lens.
