Forcing kids into this or they can't go to school. These over-controlling idiots need to be stopped. Biden/Harris sure won't do it, we all know that. They are part of the agenda. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/h...te-in-massachusetts/ar-BB18wPkN?ocid=msedgntp
You do realize that all 50 states have mandated vaccines to attend public school. This is just adding the flu vaccine to the list -- which is a wise move. Anti-Vaxers are idiots.
Honest question, GWB. If I have a 4 year old and I am pushed by my doctor to give that 4 year old a vaccine like the HPV vaccine (which prevents the sexually transmitted genital warts and thereby cervical cancer) and I refuse because the 4 year old isn't having sex at this point in their life, am I an "anti vaxxer"? Don't try to extrapolate, just answer the question.
I have always thought the Flu vaccination was mandatory for enrollment into a public school in the U.S. since the 70's. In fact, I remember it was the reason for the growth in "home schooling" by those against mandatory vaccination. You had to bring your vaccination card to the school officials during registration enrollment. Back in the day, they did the same thing with mandatory Eye exam and mandatory hearing exam at the school in which these eye exam / ear exam trucks would be in the school parking lot for kids to get checked out at the school. You had to have a note from your doctor prohibiting such. Maybe Massachusetts was one of the states that never did mandatory flu vaccinations and now they want to do it ? Also, why is this thread in the Politics section and not the Health & Science section ? wrbtrader
Your federal government is already discussing making COVID-19 vaccinations mandatory for health, public safety, government and school workers. As well as making it mandatory for K-12 students. Many states like North Carolina already have laws where they can make vaccines mandatory for government jobs -- otherwise you are unemployed. For example in 1956 the polio vaccine was mandatory for all K-12 teachers, school workers, and students. If you did not get it as an employee you were out of a job.
There is a mandatory list of vaccines with an associated vaccine schedule. If you refuse to provide your child any of the mandatory vaccines on the list on the approved schedule with medical oversight then you are an anti-vaxer. If your government adds flu vaccines to the mandatory list of vaccines to attend public school then either you can get your child vaccinated or make a decision to opt for private or home schooling. Getting the flu vaccine every year makes common sense. In regards to the HPV vaccine it is not on the list of mandatory vaccines in the associated vaccine schedule as far a I know. The vaccine is optional. HPV compared to COVID, mumps, measles, etc. is not a highly communicable deadly disease.
Show me where anyone has mandated flu vaccinations for children so they can go to school. Polio is not the flu. And which side of the government is discussing Covid-19 mandatory vaccinations.
