They don't believe in any moral absolutes. That alone is enough to make them incompetent to deal with crime. I lived in a small town that cleared itself of a crime wave. It's doable. We sent canvassers to every house and asked for the addresses where trouble came from on their block. We also asked if they would assist the police in reducing crime. If they wanted to help they were given observe and report duties, mostly keeping track of license numbers of cars that came and went from the houses with the problem people [drug dealers/users for the most part]. After awhile the houses were busted for crime and all the people that were not supposed to associate with criminals were rounded up and sent to jail. It's that simple... politeness returned to the streets, it was surprising how much difference there was in the quality of life once the criminals were gone. So... Jerry Brown (D California) was the mayor of Oakland a few years back and crime was through the roof.. the police did not go out at night essentially. His solution? A news blackout! It's still a mess there: http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-18563_1...nd-forces-residents-to-seek-private-security/ (CBS News) OAKLAND, Calif. - There has been 61 murders so far in Oakland, California. And with crime on the rise, some neighbors are taking extraordinary steps. Gunfire has become so common on the streets of Oakland, California -- that even in neighborhoods that once seemed immune to the city's violence, residents are no longer shocked. Jan Hetherington has lived for 14 years in the Oakland, California neighborhood of Maxwell Park. Yet she acknowledged she has to bring in private security to feel safe. / CBS News "It's like, 'Oh, another shooting,'" said Jan Hetherington, who has lived for 14 years in the Oakland neighborhood of Maxwell Park. It's a place with glorious views across San Francisco Bay, neat houses and friendly neighbors. "This is the most wonderful neighborhood I've ever lived in," she said. Yet she acknowledged she has to bring in private security to feel safe. With budget cuts forcing Oakland to trim its police force by a third, residents decided to pay themselves for private security patrols, which is understandable when you hear this from Hetherington. "A car came down the street, three guys got out with a gun. There was a gun battle three blocks over. And I did hear actually a bullet went through somebody's house." That routine gunfire turned tragic last month. "Our neighbor Judy, who lived in the next block to me, was shot and killed," said Hetherington. Judy Salamon, a 66-year-old dog walker, was murdered as she drove home. Who did it and why is unknown. Neighbors gathering at the spot where she died fear that if it could happen to Salamon, it could happen to anyone. Pastor Gregg Brown was threatened at gunpoint by someone who had complained about a noisy power washer used to clean the church. / CBS News Pastor Gregg Brown moved here nine years ago. Even he has been threatened at gunpoint, right outside his Lutheran church "I was scared and I'm still scared," he said. The man with the gun complained about the noisy power washer used to clean the church sidewalk. Brown was told to stop or he'll be shot. "That's how close the crime is," he said. Eighty-one-year-old Joyce Nichelini has lived Maxwell Park for 42 years. "I lock a gate now and I lock my door and I have alarms. I even put bars on my house," she said. Yet she acknowledged she doesn't feel safe. Other residents hope that when the private security patrols begin in a couple of weeks, it will bring a sense of security to a neighborhood most love too much to leave.
Not only can democraps not deal with crime. Their failed policies are largely responsible for the crime to begin with.
I like a lot of them that I meet but many of them are troubled. A lot of it comes from the fact that people are trying to solve problems via politics when the problems are really spiritual. A lot of churches are based on Liberation Theology which is repackaged Marxism and that garbage is strewn everywhere among Blacks. Jessie Jackemup, Al Sharpton, Obama's pastor are exampls of same. I'm trying for the longest time to sort out why such a shocking number of Blacks are on parole, in prison, or probation at any given time. Welfare doesn't pay enough so in the ghettos a lot of them subsidize it with criminal activities. Even that doesn't explain all of it. I knew a White guy that spent a lot of time in prison, he definitely belonged there btw, but his observation is that "they all think they are king shit". I think there is some truth to that. I heard some liberal advocates for welfare or education or some bullshit on the radio once, they were Blacks, one of them said "we need the funding and the programs so that Black people can live as the Kings and Queens that they really are". I'm thinking that there is some delusion that rules their minds or a lack of apprehension of the fact that everybody can't be the King/Queen. Maybe King/Queenhood is a tenet of Liberation Theology, I don't know, it's not worth looking into.. "Black Pride" makes no sense if pride goeth before a fall... If people read/understood their Bibles their lives would be easier. Genesis says that "Japtheth will prosper". Ham went south and became Africa/Asia, Shem stayed in the Middle East and Japtheth is the Indo-Europeans. Japtheth lives way, way better than Ham and Shem. If Ham understood things they would just go along to get along...
They deal with it, just not very well. We now have ANOTHER law in IL. "Gunfire rang out in a Far West Side neighborhood, as two teens are hit and 18-year-old DaQuan Boyd did not survive. It comes on a day when Governor Quinn signs new gun legislation that he says will make communities safer". And yet one policy that's actually been proven to lower violent crime and get guns off the streets in NYC, stop and frisk, is being fought against by democrats and liberals there. Why? Because it shows that minorities commit the overwhelming majority of the violent crimes.
Crime has fallen sharply over several decades in most of the first world countries, and many of those societies are farther left than we are.
