Democrat Jasmine Crockett laughingly mocks disabled Republican: ‘Governor Hot Wheels’

Progressive Rep. Jasmine Crockett, D-Texas, mocked a disabled, wheelchair-bound Republican governor, calling him "Governor Hot Wheels" during a pro-LGBTQ benefit dinner this weekend.

Crockett is already in hot water over other controversial recent comments such as calling for Elon Musk to be "taken down" and for Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, to be "knocked over the head, like hard."

Speaking at a benefit for the Human Rights Campaign in Los Angeles, Crockett mocked Texas Gov. Greg Abbott, whose legs were paralyzed in a running accident in 1984.

  2. I know you would never vote for someone like that.

I like people who weren't captu... Hit by a tree when jogging? Seriously?

Hot Wheels is probably the coolest thing anybody ever said about him after that. There's a certainty he has been known by that for years.

What kind of tree just falls on a fit young man out jogging? I really struggle to imagine how you let a tree fall on you. There are cracking noises and.. Well it's a tree and he was a highly mobile jogger?

Maybe the tree was just a cover story. Or was he wearing a Walkman? In which case, fuck him, misadventure.

    Greg Abbott as Plaintiff

When a 75-foot oak tree snapped and fell, crippling a jogger named Greg Abbott in July 1984, he did what most Texans would do: He sued the owner of the tree. A few months later, Abbott's attorney also sued the tree-trimming company that had worked on the giant oak, and within a year, the homeowner, the tree company, their insurance companies and Abbott had agreed to an out-of-court settlement that would pay Abbott's current and future medical bills and compensate him for mental anguish and for some of the income he lost because of the accident.

    Something like this perhaps.
