Here we go again, republicans have the house and democrats the presidency and senate and of course House republicans think this is the best scenario to reduce spending. Not when they have the presidency or senate.

It just goes to show how much of a circus the Republican Party is and has been. If it wasn’t a show and they were serious about spending they could have passed all kinds of budgets and spending limits when they had the power to do so.

Now here come all of the “fans” of the Republican show with canned attacks on democrats. It’s always so dumb to watch but the fans need a show.

  2. We all know how the kabuki dances works by now.

Not gonna lie. I am pretty much going to remain flaccid this time around.

Maybe I will get fired up over one of the next dozen times I see this movie.

Right. The whole thing has turned into such a show. As if Joe Biden of all people will be cutting social security. Come on…

Its going to be the interest rate that kills the spending, eventually. Just a matter of when.

  5. They are going to approve the debt ceiling.... just need to see how many soundbytes for TV each person can get recorded before they vote so they can play it during next years election...

Hypocrite GOP didn't give a shit about the budget when Trump increased the deficit from 585 billion to 3.1 trillion or when Bush increased it from a 200 billion surplus to a 1.2 trillion dollar deficit. When a Dem is President all of a sudden the budget matters to the hypocrite GOP though.

This is a law passed by Congress so Dems could have repealed it long ago.

The law is unconstitutional as the constitution says The US Government has to pay its debts. Why has no one challenged this law in court is a mystery.

And that is going to make Lockheed, Raytheon, Boeing and etc. shareholders most unhappy.

And the beauty of threatening to default makes that possibility more likely.

  10. They need to do something about entitlements. Move the age limits around more aligned with demographics. The rest of the spending doesn't appear to be a major problem. Of course the GOP only cares about this when Democrats have the presidency.
