DAX day trading using EMA

Discussion in 'Technical Analysis' started by Jeff Arnold, Apr 13, 2016.

  1. I have been trading the DAX with moderate success for a few months and I'm just wondering if anyone has used a similar system:

    10 min chart
    EMA's 10, 50, 200
Entry - price crossover on 50 EMA in direction of 200 EMA
Exit - price crossover on 10 EMA

If anyone has been using a similar system or has ideas on how to improve please let me know.

Be nice, I'm new to this.

No, I would never use that system, risk would be as much as long term trade for me, plus risk can be huge if you getting out on close on other side of 10ema, and if you getting out right on the 10ema, you can't get it enough times to make profits, Some trades will be huge and profitable, but as always when profits are huge profitable percentages are way down, so you will lack profitable consistency.

Since you are new, it would take far too long and would have to redesign entire method. You most likely using this cause not educated on reading charting?

I trade Dax, Crude, Gold and currencies in middle of night for few hours and 60 minutes of ES at day session open. I scalp which is totally different than what you are doing where going for $100-150 profits till I reach Goals then quit for that market and day. So I am going for smaller profits but very consistent. So there are trade-offs.
