    Hi everyone,

Databento is proud to announce our partnership with OpenBB, an open-source and Python-based platform for investment research. You can now access our data through OpenBB Terminal v2.5.0 and onwards.

At this time, a wide range of futures symbols on OpenBB are exclusively available through Databento's historical API, which exposes nearly 150,000 futures symbols and 540,000 symbols across options on futures, multi-leg instruments, and user-defined instruments.

Databento was selected as an OpenBB data provider for our ease of integration (multi-language support, including a Python client library), self-service onboarding, and usage-based pricing.

We’ll be providing institutional-grade US equities and futures data direct from the source, as well as options and live data upon release. Users can import their own datasets into OpenBB, and Databento’s data is available for as little as $0.45 per GB.

OpenBB’s products are designed to democratize investment research – just as Databento is democratizing access to market data. We’re excited to power an analytics solution with a shared mission!

Along with this announcement, we're happy to do a Q&A as usual, this time for anything on investment research and trading GUI development — it doesn't have to be related to Databento! I'll be joined by two of my colleagues whose work made this integration possible:

    - Enda Peng, engineering manager at Databento. Enda was previously a tech lead at Two Sigma Investments, a quantitative hedge fund, and had also worked on Microsoft's Azure infrastructure group.
    - Roberto Mesado, senior frontend engineer at Databento. Before Databento, Roberto spent 7 years as an engineering team lead and quantitative research developer at Rotella Capital Management, a quantitative hedge fund.
