First I was wondering where is the Das specific forum over here? I looked through software and couldn't find it. Anyway I've been using TWS hotkeys for a long time, one specific key is a scale out profit taker using reverse position. See screenshot. What this does is no matter if I am short or long it will take 14% of my position out with shift+K. Using the shown settings under "Presets> Stocks> Primary order" It will put my profit target out on the bid for a short cover and put it on the ask for a long sell. I just got Das and trying to match my hotkeys, I see they have a Reverse position that defaults to market order and I think changing the *2 to *.14 will do what I want, except I don't want market orders I want cover to be on the bid and selling to be on the ask. Any idea how to configure this how I want? I have kind of messed with the Das hotkey, but not sure if it will work as I expect. See screenshot.
My hot keys for going long X number of shares at mid price between bid and ask. I do this to capture the rebate. Also my hot key for covering the entire current positions at mid bid/ask price. Das software comes with a hot key manual. You should read up on it since it has all the special variables you can use.
Thanks, that's helpful to see the layout and will help with one of my hotkeys that changes an order to midpoint. I'll see if I can find the hotkey manual provided by das. I have read up quite a bit on their hotkeys via Google. But so far haven't found anything that touches on placing an order based on which side I'm already on. Their software seems pretty powerful so I would assume it's possible though.
