Until this article below... I really wondered if Trump might be losing it. That he may no longer be smart. I thought tillerson is a smart guy maybe trump is a moron. That he holds silly opinions. I was hoping until 20 minutes ago... that a surprise would happen at the Senate trial and he would be dumped. But... Now, more than ever I see that Trump is still thinking and the deep state can't be trusted. What the heck was tillerson thinking going to work for a man who held opinions which were contrary to group think. Tillerson might be right but you can't call Trump and idiot thinking the contrary of the group think. What the hell... its all opinion. When it comes to foreign policy... everyone has an opinion. Trump may even be correct. It seems that the deep state prefers group think over being challenged by a diverse thought. Lets look at the points made by the Daily Beast. 1. Cost of Bases in foreign countries. Trump could be correct. a. At the very least the other countries should be paying for these bases and all the costs which go with them. b. the left tells us its our presence in these other countries is what causes terrorists and others to hate us. c. Whose interests are we really protecting by be there? Why are we spending trillions when we could spend the money infrastructure or eliminating taxes. 2. Nato has been in arrears. What is wrong about making them pay. 3. Trump is correct again... Obama's nuclear deal gave Iran billions in cash to continue terrorism in the short term... and become nuclear breakout ready in about a decade. Absolutely insane deal. Little to no real upside to us. We were not going to let them get a bomb at all. Now they can be breakout ready... and get bomb in a decade. The treaty gave them cover to advance their tech. insanity. 4. Afghanistan war... it has been a loser war. Why are we financing it to the tune of trillions of dollars. Have you seen troops who have been wrecked over there? What can you say to them? My wife makes a point to thank men and women in uniform in public. But we have learned to go no deeper. They seem to despise the fact their lives and friends lives and bodies are being sacrificed for almost no reason. ---- Hats off to Trump for this report out of the daily beast. He should make it part of his campaign. https://www.thedailybeast.com/trump...dopes-and-babies-in-a-fit-of-rage-book-claims What exactly went down during a July 2017 meeting at the Pentagon between President Trump and his military leaders has long been the subject of speculation. One of the tantalizing details that’s been previously reported is that, whatever took place, it provoked then-Secretary of State Rex Tillerson to call his commander in chief “a fucking moron.” Now an excerpt of a new book published in The Washington Postdemonstrates exactly what tipped Tillerson over the edge. An account of the meeting in the upcoming book A Very Stable Genius: Donald J. Trump’s Testing of America depicts Trump becoming increasingly angry as his generals tried to teach him the fundamental basics of American post-war history. ADVERTISEMENT The book states that the meeting took place six months into Trump’s presidency after his generals became concerned about “gaping holes” in Trump’s knowledge of America’s key alliances. The idea was to bring Trump to the Pentagon’s Situation Room, where military leaders, so the plan went, would give him a crash course on who America’s allies were, why they were worth keeping on side, and where on earth they were located. However, the meeting seems to have descended into chaos almost immediately. Tillerson, then-Secretary of Defense Jim Mattis, and National Economic Council Director Gary Cohn reportedly took turns trying to explain their points to Trump. But Trump is said to have first appeared bored out of his mind before he got increasingly angry. The account states Trump repeatedly interrupted the lesson after apparently being triggered by a word or phrase uttered by the military leaders. One example given is that he heard the word “base” during the lesson, which sparked him into launching a tirade about how “crazy” and “stupid” it was that the U.S. paid to build and maintain bases overseas. His first grievance was reportedly against South Korea, when he suggested charging rent for a $10 billion missile-defense system the U.S. built there to protect South Korea and American troops. He then complained about NATO, saying it was in “arrears” to the U.S. for not spending enough money on defense—a complaint he’s repeatedly raised during his presidency. Trump is then said to have complained about President Obama’s Iranian nuclear deal, and the length of the war in Afghanistan. Each time, his generals reportedly tried to gently explain why his view of these complex geopolitical issues might not be entirely accurate. It was reportedly during a conversation about Afghanistan that Trump blew his top. The president reportedly called Afghanistan a “loser war,” and told his military leaders: “You’re all losers... You don’t know how to win anymore... I want to win... We don’t win any wars anymore... We spend $7 trillion, everybody else got the oil and we’re not winning anymore.” It’s reported that Trump was so angry at this point that he wasn’t breathing properly. In his most incendiary comment, Trump—a man who, remember, managed to get out of military duty in Vietnam due to a supposed bone-spur problem—is said to have told the assembled forces: “I wouldn’t go to war with you people... You’re a bunch of dopes and babies.” The comment reportedly left the room dumbfounded. Tillerson was “visibly seething,” and decided to speak up. The secretary of state said: “No, that’s just wrong... Mr. President, you’re totally wrong. None of that is true.” When the meeting ended soon afterward, Tillerson reportedly stood with a small group of confidants and said: “He’s a fucking moron.” One senior official summed up the meeting: “We needed to change how he thinks about this, to course correct... They were dismayed and in shock when not only did it not have the intended effect, but he dug in his heels and pushed it even further on the spectrum, further solidifying his views.” Tillerson reportedly views the meeting as “the beginning of the end” of his time in the Trump administration. He was abruptly fired in March 2018 when he was on a diplomatic mission to Africa to make amends after Trump’s demeaning insults about African countries. Mattis resigned in December 2018, whereas Joint Chiefs Chairman Joseph Dunford stayed on until September 2019, retiring at the end of his four-year term.
"Jem" seems disturbed right now; he's gone off the deep end posting conspiracy shit and this time it's even more absurd. Maybe the US should take all his money and claim it's a matter of national security or some other bs. Like they did to Iran and now the dumb fucks on this site think it was their money to keep. Seems only fair to take "Jem"'s money and apply it against the national debt .
nine ender - with a another ad home distraction low intellect post from a lefty. on the other thread... nothing about the FED creating 6 trillion and schedule to create about 9 trillion is a conspiracy theory... you troll. Read the Federal Reserve minutes. read the wall street journal and washington post articles. on this thread... I commented on an article from the daily beast.. a lefty rag. a know conspiracies involved.
by the way I could not see your post so I went to another browser to read it. When I ceased posting here... that was the release. This is a reincarceration to bizarro world where people are free to assert bullshit and get likes for it. I came back with the thought of doing a polling thread. But... seeing that the trolls here have no interest in making an sort of useful comment... I am thinking otherwise. I really would like one of these tiny brained lefties to say... no its not money creation or inflation... because the FED puts the assets on its balance sheet. And then I'll say but the assets expire or they are sold back years later to inflated money. Or... the FED has limited ability to sell the assets back because as we can see it may cause another massive market disruption like we are seeing now. I might say perhaps the money creation is a large fraction of the 9 trillion. Then maybe a serious person would come back and narrow down a range. That probably would have happened here in the past. The trolls shut down serious discussion... Now we a few content providers and a bunch of paid trolls. .
