Cruz/Fiorina

  1. now what? How would a Cruz Fiorina ticket play?

  2. Badly. Trump voters will stay home. Or show up and vote for dems just to send a message.

  3. yes, it looks like a last gap effort to take away Hillary's woman thing. It was really quite pathetic. She looked like a doting mother trying to cover up for her son's misdeeds and trying desparately to stay relevent. Not unlike Christie hanging on to Trumps coat tails to see if he might be a viable running mate.

Do you think anybody will announce before the convention? I don't follow it that closely and don't know how it is usually done.

  4. I don't think picking Carly would hurt Cruz. What will destroy the republicans is if Trump is close to clinching it and they steal it from him like they are already counting on doing. I heard Kasich last night justifying it on the grounds that it had happened 7 out of the last 10 times no one came to the convention with enough delegates.

They look on Trump as some outsider who is trying to steal their livelihood and anything is legitimate to stop him. They see the cost as one presidential election, worst case. And they are so delusional they still think one of the others can win. Kasich was actually making that point last night, that he was the best candidate in the general election. Guy has won one primary, his home state, and he is the strongest candidate? Of course these are the same people who thought McCain, Dole and Romney were good candidates and that Reagan was a loose cannon.

  5. the one thing that can really hurt Trump and destroy him is his choice for a running mate. He has already stated he would like somebody with some experience in government. That could be a problem. A BIG problem. That will be the first time he has to actually do something instead of just talking about it.

    Who knows about Hillary.

  6. Has anyone actually seen her smile? And, if so, does she look as scary as Cruz?

  7. I doubt Cruz would pick Carly. More likely Scott Walker or even Kasich.

Cruz is sure to lose, unless he is running against Sanders, then all bets are off. The NE story will come back to haunt him. Hillary's people will be offering big money to the women to corroborate the story and some will take it. All the new republican voters Trump has attracted will stay home. Who could blame them? Cruz will be Bush's third term.

There are things about Cruz I like, but he comes across as unlikeable, overly ambitious and calculating. People will be offended when they learn what his wife was making from GS. The same media who couldn't care less about the disguised payoffs to Obama through Michelle's U of Chicago "job" or Hillary's 20 minute speeches or Chelsea's $600k internship will be mortified that Heidi Cruz made big bucks.
