SVB fail may be the black swan event needed to trigger massive selling, circuit breaker halts come Monday.. or not. What do you think? Trading strategies? I loaded the fkg boat with UVXY in case vix/volatility spike Monday. Any thoughts or dialogue re next week's price action? Bank runs, tech washout, the sky is falling...
Fwiw here's how I'm loaded going into Monday, either markets will be up and I give back Friday's profits, or mkts gap down and these go up. Inverses. I'm keen on sizing up FAZ finance bear if price action goes up
It is going to be a great day for the day traders. which Bank index futures to trade? FESB DJ Euro STOXX BANKS futures from Eurex Still trying to find out other bank futures to trade, especially from the US and UK
Fed is backstopping the panic. and I would guess that their emergency meeting on Monday is going to be about how to make the startups that had their money with SVB whole. It shouldn't be the case that the recklessness of one bank is the cause of the death sentence of a bunch of silicon valley startups. I think fed has the power to squash this, and they should. But let's see what happens. Whatever the case, the opportunity is in iwm, not so much the giants in qqq. market's already back to pricing in 50 bps hike.

They might gap the market down to shake out the longs at the open, then take out the stops below the December lows in the S&P, then rally it mid day. Unless they come out with a statement between now and the open, then they gap it up it before the open to erase all of Fridays losses and squeeze the shorts like KCalhoun.
