NVDA went below $112 in the after hours tonight. Herd mentality will probably send it lower tomorrow, and perhaps even this week in whole..., but for you long term players... picking the exact bottom is tough I know, but imo, it's time to start loading up in pieces. $112 now, but it will be way higher in 2 years. And who knows... $112 +/- the noise, might be the bottom this time around.
Hey VZ, my old avatar is back. With that aside, don't you think there's too much resemblance between NVDA and CSCO?
And they are in bed togethor now to boot. I dunno, NVDA trades on technical levels for sure. I mean at 300 million shares per day trading, it almost has to. $118 was a crucial level. It failed. $112 is a crucial level. Here's the thing though... at what level will the biggest of whales say "we'll buy every share at $****?" I think it's very close. And when that level hits, that's when the Peter Lynch kicks in and all the T/A gods end up looking like fools. Because in the end, even though technicals are based on solid calculations... in the end a business is a business. Growth potential and eps trump all. As it stands, NVDA has both. So that level will emerge, and then all the genius TA traders... will declare it a bottom---> Ex posto facto.
You need to lose the pronouns and make things clear for the et readers... " He" = "Cramer" I knew what you meant, but some may not.
I think youre right and 112 may be a bottom but the whales you referred to are definitely buying everything from 105-100 if we get that far,IMO. Agree, its a good buy,and dont be afraid to accumulate on the way down.
We can debate about this into perpetuity and it still will not come to an end. So here's what I think. CSCO played an important role at the start of the Internet revolution. No doubt about it. However, it drifted into obsolescence once the Androids and the iPhones came on the scene. Now that everything is moving so much faster than before, it's just a matter of time before NVDA is supplanted by the likes of next generation AI. I would be especially mindful of those semiconductor companies coming out of Asia, especially South Korea, Taiwan and China.
The AI is software that is built on their chips. Until a rival chip company can even nip at their heels... they will command a PE north of the S&P's. And while those companies are attempting to catch up and "nip"... NVDA keeps innovating. So ask yourself Schiz... are you going to bet on Secretariat... or Mr. Ed?
Nah, I'll bet on Skynet. Seriously, I think China will catch up fairly quickly. That's why Trump is feeling so constipated and resorting to dirty trucks to slow them down (not that I'm on the side of Chinese, just speaking the fact).
