https://www.cnbc.com/2022/12/05/jim...-exit-crypto-its-never-too-late-too-sell.html "CNBC’s Jim Cramer on Monday told investors that they still have time to sell their cryptocurrency holdings. “You can’t just beat yourself up and say, ‘hey, it’s too late to sell.’ The truth is, it’s never too late to sell an awful position, and that’s what you have if you own these so-called digital assets,” he said." He has been bearish on crypto since June...
and someone said it is never too late to BUY. Is Tim Draper holding tons of BTC? Perhaps there should be a debate about SELL vs BUY crypto, Cramer vs Tim Draper. Tim Draper predicts bitcoin will reach $250,000 next year despite FTX collapse: ‘The dam is about to break’ PUBLISHED MON, DEC 5 2022 4:56 AM ESTUPDATED MON, DEC 5 20228:18 PM EST Ryan Browne@RYAN_BROWNE_ SHARE KEY POINTS Draper previously predicted that bitcoin would top $250,000 by the end of 2022. He told CNBC that $250,000 “is still my number” despite the digital coin’s more than 60% drop this year. The venture capitalist is extending his prediction by six months.
Tim Draper predicted Bitcoin will hit $250,000 in 2019; and 2020; and 2021 https://cointelegraph.com/news/bitcoin-can-hit-250k-in-2020-reaffirms-tim-draper-as-dominance-rises
I guess he will continue to predict it would hit $250 000 or $1 000 000 or beyond every few months. He failed to recognize cryptocurrency is in INFINITE supply. And he failed to recognize human greed will lead to anguish despair and early termination of life.
"Draper has been a bitcoin bull going back to when he bought 29,656 bitcoins for $18.7 million after they were confiscated by U.S. Marshals from the Silk Road dark web marketplace. At the time, he predicted the price of bitcoin would hit $10,000 in three years." I guess BTC can fall 95% from here and he would be still in profits. Nevertheless he obviously missed the selling opportunity, he could be buying it back and he would have 70K BTC now.
I guess his point is, if you are down 70%, take that 30% and invest it in something else, because you obviously can't time the market. Let's say BTC bounces back to 30K, what are the chances you would get out instead of holding it until it falls back again under 20K?
