Today we will cover Sheltering in Place and why it was insane. It was quackery without data and as many suspected at the time it could have made the Covid situation much worse.

It was dangerously stupid and it was obvious to so many of us who said that we want to keep our immune systems healthy.

Yet.... we had morons here like nine_ender and gwb telling to lockdown and calling us selfish for keeping ourselves healthy by exercising outdoors. IN California we had moron governor who locked down beaches and hiking trails.
This is how stupid fascists are who lockdown without data..

    Reason one...

"But Dr. Sallis points out that the associations in the study were strong. “I think, based on this data,” he says, “we can tell people that walking briskly for half an hour five times a week should help protect them against severe Covid-19.”

A walk — or five — might be especially beneficial for people awaiting their first vaccine, he adds. “I would never suggest that someone who does regular exercise should consider not getting the vaccine. But until they can get it, I think regular exercise is the most important thing they can do to lessen their risk. And doing regular exercise will likely be protective against any new variants, or the next new virus out there.”

    ...

More exercise means less risk of developing severe Covid, according to a compelling new study of physical activity and coronavirus hospitalizations. The study, which involved almost 50,000 Californians who developed Covid, found that those who had been the most active before falling ill were the least likely to be hospitalized or die as a result of their illness.

The data were gathered before Covid vaccines became available and do not suggest that exercise can substitute in any way for immunization. But they do intimate that regular exercise — whether it’s going for a swim, walk, run or bike ride — can substantially lower our chances of becoming seriously ill if we do become infected.

    ....

Then the researchers crosschecked numbers, with arresting results. People in the least-active group, who almost never exercised, wound up hospitalized because of Covid at twice the rate of people in the most-active group, and were subsequently about two-and-a-half times more likely to die. Even compared to people in the somewhat-active group, they were hospitalized about 20 percent more often and were about 30 percent more likely to die.

Of the other common risk factors for severe disease, only advanced age and organ transplants increased the likelihood of hospitalization and mortality from Covid more than being inactive, the scientists found.

Imagine preventing people from getting exercise and natural Vitamin D... with Shelter in Place orders... and being so stupid that you cheered on governments who did that without any data.

A questionable source exhibits one or more of the following: extreme bias, consistent promotion of propaganda/conspiracies, poor or no sourcing to credible information, a complete lack of transparency and/or is fake news. Fake News is the deliberate attempt to publish hoaxes and/or disinformation for the purpose of profit or influence (Learn More). Sources listed in the Questionable Category may be very untrustworthy and should be fact checked on a per article basis. Please note sources on this list are not considered fake news unless specifically written in the reasoning section for that source. See all Questionable sources.
    • Overall, we rate DNyuz Right-Center biased and Questionable due to blatant plagiarism, the use of poor sources, and a complete lack of transparency.

My post did not take for some reason. Was just saying that a doctor did a study of Corona Virus victims and a huge number suffered from Vitamin D deficiency. Our so called medical experts and our resident extreme liberal ET trolls also, clueless as hell.

JEM=SmallFil repeating the same story everyday is the Definition of Quakery.

Yeah we’re selfish for not meeting their demands (mask, untested vaccine, putting our lives on pause).

Blatant hypocrisy. I wonder what the average liberal IQ is

Quackery is also being told Smallfil is not me and then coming back under a new name and making the same claim.

Quackery is claiming this is not a new article from me when it is a brand new article.

Quackery and assholery (something GWB has perfected)

is going after the link to the article instead of discussing the merits of the article and the information.

Some of the people who created one of the studies are Kaiser Permanente. And there were links to other studies.

Finally only fucking idiots would think it was healthy stay indoors and hide rather than be outside and get exercise.

People in better shape and condition tend fare better in mostly all illnesses. I’ve managed to keep my exercise routine through the pandemic and I’m not really sure what Jem is referring to.

However, Covid is more than a respiratory illness. What gets missed is that Covid is also a neurological illness and impacts other organs besides the lungs. Losing your sense of taste and smell has nothing to do with a respiratory infection.

We can clear this up. Why don’t you swear on your parents grave and all your children’s lives that you have absolutely no association whatsoever with SmallFil. You being a Catholic and all should have no problem stating this in no uncertain terms.
