Cortney Merritts, who secretly married Bush in 2023, falsified details about his purported businesses in order to obtain more than $20,000 in loans from the Small Business Administration in 2020 and 2021 under the Paycheck Protection Program and Economic Injury Disaster Loan Program, the Department of Justice said in a statement.
400+ billion in waste and fraud in Trumps covid bill.Far more than DOGE has found in all government agencies/programs.
He is probably going to make an everybody-was-doing-it defence, and they were. A side note: One of the "fired" heads of the FTC* said that Trump is angling to get pardon powers for corporate cases. Covid fraud is a goldmine for his fascist takeover. *Trump lacks that power.
That is not a valid legal defense in the United States. If that is all he has, he will be found guilty.
Yes Echopulse, that's implied. FYI, when somebody way smarter* than you are, who very very rarely makes a mistake, says something that does not seem quite right, it's just over your head. * and still not really that smart.
Nope. You were wrong and that is your excuse. You are incredibly insecure. I would be willing to bet that you are extremely unattractive. No one is that insecure unless they are ugly.
It's good to see this indictment. Former Representative Cori Bush -- of "The Squad" -- was one of the most corrupt members of Congress. This being said -- many more indictments are needed. There are plenty of corrupt members of Congress on both sides of the aisle. Additionally -- there needs to rules passed to firmly not allow members of Congress (and their family members) to trade stocks while in office.
