Check out AMD and TXN AH. Not that their result were bad. The stocks are way way way ahead of their results. Same is true for 95% of the stocks in semi sector. 10% correction would be healthy.

I totally agree...if you look at SMH it's done absolutely nothing but skyrocket, it's up huge in 5 years .....the semis have been literally the #1 outperforming sector of the market....every stock has been on a tear including NVDA and TXN....even a simple 25% correction would look like a small little blip on a chart, after the run these stocks have had without a sizeable pullback in nearly 10 years....
I bet people would be whining like little bitches if there was a 25% pullback ..SMH is up over 500% since it's 2008 lows!!!!!!! 500 fu$king %%%!!!!! even if it dropped 54% no one should be bitching....do people really anticipate a continuous upside run without any sizeable correction moving forward??

I don't think anyone will bitch about a 25% pullback. They will buy more. Whether that works out remains to be seen.

With all due respect to you and no insult to you. What you are saying is reflecting market sentiment now. They think that they can handle 25% pullback. Just imagine the chaos if DOW droping 1000 points which is only 4%. Now imagine to drop 2500 points which is only 10%. You will see lots of throw ups on the Wall Street.

Semiconductor stocks AMD TXN MU are indeed rather bullish.
Price will pullback but we don't know when.

  6. I think what's going on is sector rotations. big whale wins

If the semis correct 10%, what keeps the rest of the market from correcting 10% with it? INTC, MSFT, and a few others report later this week. Let's see how they do. I hope we get a good correction early next year. I like buying cheaper stocks and things have become too expensive.

That's exactly right......for the last 9 straight years these markets have experienced nothing but straight upward movement based on fed bailouts and free trillions.... Do you know how many millions of new investors have not experienced a bear market....I know people who prior to 2007-2008 didn't know what stocks were that are now in the market. They do not have a clue what a down market feels like, bear market, whats a bear market? Just a 4% drop could wreak havoc on the psychological behavior of any investor who is only used to seeing gains.... this is a completely irrational market that will catch millions by surprise when it finally starts to play tricks on them......

    FUN FACT

THERE HAS BEEN 334 days without a 5% or more pullback, the 4TH longest period since 1928!!!!!

I have seen when AAPL went down just $20, they went ULTRA bankrupt because they were heavily leveraged. They had learned one thing. Just buy stocks and it will go up. It SHOULD NOT go down. Well it did. Funny thing is that when it does, CNBC will be full of analysts predicting this and took action :)
