Coronavirus impacts us all. Here's how you can help others https://www.wral.com/coronavirus-impacts-us-all-here-s-how-you-can-help-others/19010660/ Prepping for the coronavirus? Consider those in need too https://www.wral.com/prepping-for-the-coronavirus-consider-those-in-need-too/19001448/ With many school systems closing the demand on food banks across the U.S. is greatly increasing. Some children from low-income families depend on breakfast and lunch at school as one primary source of food. The stress in even more difficult on these families as some parents with low income jobs in retail, restaurants, and services are facing reduced income from loss or hours and work-place shutdown. The articles above are about my local Raleigh-Durham area in North Carolina but the idea is applicable anywhere in the U.S. and world -- when you go food shopping please consider picking up some extra food & cleaning supplies and donating them to your local food bank or other appropriate organizations . Many food banks and local school support organizations are providing food to children who are no longer attending closed schools. Some school systems also have support efforts to deliver food to low-income students during this period of school closure. Please consider picking up some extra food & supplies and donating it to help others. In the end - we are all one community.
