I've got a better one for you though.... it's pretty pricey and it might go lower... but an old VZ favorite here at ET that made the readers a ton of money (If you do a search, bear in mind there was a 2:1 split when looking at the prices)... and they have a fortress balance sheet. Not to mention my favorite part.... land land land. They own a ton in and around several major cities. Ya gotta park these things somewhere right? Copart. CPRT. Man they sell regular used cars, rebuilt cars, totaled out cars... the whole shebang the whole world over. Their online auction sites... cashcows. It's like AWS type margins. If Trump's tariffs send the entire world into a recession... f orly and azo... I wanna own the stock of a company that supplies your local junkyard. They buy a car for $400, and sell it out piece by piece to the tune of $10K. Austerity worldwide will send this stock to the moon. As always, do your own DD.
And let me clear up that second to last paragraph above in case what I wrote was misleading. They don't own the junkyards, they just sell to them. They're in bed with, and buy from, every insurance company there is in North America, S. America, and Europe. This is not some fly-by-night operation for those of you that have never heard of them. $4B in cash and short term liquidity on their balance sheet... on top of all that land and their high margin cash-cow online auctions. A market cap of $55B and an EV of $51B. Pretax margins of 44%. Don't take my word for it, do your own DD.
