Cooling for 58 years... based on raw NOAA data!

  1. Yup, there is actually COOLING, not WARMING. I guess I've been wrong this whole time. Damn. Jem was right.

  2. I'm surprised that this is not getting more comments! I mean, this is amazing. Raw data! Showing COOLING! What is going on here? Jem, you seem to be an expert in this stuff, why is there cooling happening?

What's to say, mate? The obvious takeaway is don't plant crops above 15 km altitude.

  4. What? Oh! This is STRATOSPHERIC temps. Thanks for point that out! ;) So what about SURFACE temps?

What the heck is going on? How could the stratosphere be cooling even as surface temps are increasing? Maybe at a certain altitude in between there is no net warming? Like a sort of Goldilocks zone for climate change deniers? Maybe Jem or piezoe knows. :)

ore if you read the studies presented you will see a very good portion of that upslope comes from recent "adjustments' to the data.

  6. But why the decrease in strat temps? Can you explain that?

It's been an unusually warm winter in Calgary, once again. I was on my east deck this morning with the shirt off catching some rays and it was WARM. No need to hit the Caribbean this winter. But the ground is very dry, so not looking too good for this year's grain crop, although it's still very early and the rainy season is ahead.

  8. Yeah, it was an easy winter in NY this year. There was only about a month that we could not play golf and yesterday during my trail run I saw a butterfly already.

I take it you live upstate. How was winter in Long Island, Washington D.C. and Maryland this year?
