This certainly seems suspect. Congress' job is to provide checks on the president... if anyone should have foreign policy pushed on them it's Congress. The enumerated powers of Congress include the ability to regulate commerce with foreign countries. I think that, given this is fox news, Sarah is just playing into the cult-of-monarchy surrounding Trump. Unsurprising, yes. But for someone who was embedded in the political system itself you'd expect at least some recognition of the powers of congress even though you may think this particular congress is "bad". This sort of follows what I had posted earlier on a centralized one-party government being bad. Ideally, the president is a figurehead Congress sends to meetings to represent them. He has some powers himself, but Congress (for better or worse) was (in my opinion) the group intended to have the most "control".
