Yet -- not once do you ever mention that the Free Beacon was doing generic research. The Beacon did not fund anything involving Steele or gathering dirt in Russia. That was all funded by the Democratic party.

"Sources close to the Free Beacon stress that the project, when the Free Beacon funded it, had nothing to do with Russia and did not involve Christopher Steele, the former British spy who gathered anti-Trump dirt in Russia. Steele was retained by Fusion GPS when the project was funded by Democrats, and not in its initial phase, when the Free Beacon was involved."

How do you know that generic research didn't lead to the dossier? The democrats didn't fund to get a dossier either but that's how it ended up. How do you know what was paid for by Free Beacon didn't end up in the dossier? If the Democratic party funded the dossier, why didn't they use it during the election?

Nice try washing hands off the mess, won't work now after 'funding' was the big issue.

Actually it is pretty clear that the Democrats funded the dossier, and had Steele hired deliberately to go to Russia to dig up dirt.

The Free Beacon did not fund travel for any to go anywhere, just generic in the office candidate research.

And the Democrats did leak the dossier contents during the election.

If Democrats funded the dossier then why didn't they release the info during the election when it would help them, at least after the Comey letter when the polls took a nosedive.

Why won't you answer that simple question.

Show me a source for your baseless claim that Democrats leaked the dossier contents, now you are just making shit up.

I'll quote right wingers when emails where hacked and released: "who cares how it came out, they are doing us a service, lock them up!"

At least paying for opposition research is legal and customary on elections, not a federal crime like hacking. Worse yet, coordinating with a foreign government to subvert an election.
