Last week end, wifey and I were dining in a small neighborhood Greek restaurant. The place wasn't busy, so was easy to notice who came and went. One guy... wearing flip-flops, t-shirt and shorts entered alone, stood in the doorway and looked around. Couldn't tell whether he was just looking for someone in particular or was casing the joint*. Nonetheless, I reached behind my back and grabbed my 9mm... just in case. Nothing came of it. He turned and left. But years ago, I never would have had such thoughts. *Maybe I'm just being paranoid these days, but a few years back a couple of punks robbed a local pizza restaurant and killed everybody inside. I guess they didn't want to leave any witnesses.
One of the risks of open-carry. A lot of ppl that I see doing open-carry have open holsters with zero retention. Also, the vast majority of guys that I have personally seen are seniors in less than ideal physical condition. I was at a Chipotle and the elderly guy next to me was open-carrying a G17. Nice guy, but it would've been cake to grab that thing off his hip.
(Mother weeping on TV interview time after time in this country...) My baby wasn't mean; he just was going thru some mental problems. Well, mama he ain't got those problems no more.
Someone in society fixed 'em for him. Now, no waste of prison space, no food wasted that could go to some deserving child, no taxpayer money wasted on a piece of shit who tried to choose a life in a box, instead of being a productive and upstanding citizen.
