Here is what I would like to do. Use NinjaTrader for charting stock, futures, and options data.

NinjaTrader7 only goes back 10 years for EOD data, or so I have been led to believe (please tell me if I am wrong).

So, i would like to retrieve the EOD data from yahoo finance and then have NinjaTrader append that data with its own (last 10-years) data and for it to append that data every day when i click the update button.

Can someone tell me how this might be done?

    Thank you.

You can do this easily via the NinjaTrader Control Center window, Tools > Historical Data Manager > Download Tab.

Ok. so I'm having issues. was hoping it would be a quick process but unfortunately it has not been so far

I mades lists of all the symbols I want data for (well, all the stock symbols, I figured once I was done with teh stocks i could work on the futures). So I created a list of symbols for each of the following exchanges:

AEX, AMEX, ASX, HKEX, LSE, NASDAQ, NYSE, SGX, TSX

So all of the symbols were properly imported once I removed symbols containing the character "-"

Then, I click File, CONNECT, Kinetick and it seems as if the software connects to the Kinetick server because Kinetick then becomes grayed out. However, when I go to Historical Data Manager, click the download tab and then select tick, minute, day, ask, bid, and last checkboxes, select the exchange from teh left hand side menu (first tried with AEX) and then click the DOWNLOAD button I get error messages that state that the instruments are not recognized. I get many of these popups with that message.

How can I get the data to download for the instruments I have chosen? Thanks
