Here in New England, the whole community was gearing up for the huge 400th anniversary of the "founding" of the country, by celebrating the landing of the Pilgrims at Plymouth Rock in 1620. They've been planning it for years and years, because a 400th anniversary is BIG. However, due to this COVID, much of it has been cancelled, and I hear they may even delay the whole thing to 2021. The irony is thick, because the virii the Europeans brought to North and South America 400-500 years ago had devastated many native tribes, because they did not have immunity to the bacteria and virii the Euros carried. And it comes full circle. The "Chinese virus" killed Plymouth's party. Can Turkeys transmit the COVID? We will never know, because now Cargill is shutting down processing plants. In all of this, I still blame Canada. Give thanks! Buggers!
