    Hey there!

Can anybody help me create a MA which will change color, for example greeen if up, yellow when flat and red when down?

I want to use this function for the LSMA, EMA and WMA.

I have very little experience with coding, but I assume that this is not very hard to do for many people in here?!

I am using OEC, and have tried for a while now, but frankly I have no clue at all!!

If anybody can help me with this it would be very much appriciated.

Sorry for my spelling mistakes, I am from Norway, Europe! ;)

    Thank you, veggen.

  2. I could help you if you were using QuoteTracker, but I don't use Open E-Cry.

They are a very good company with good people and good support behind them.

You should try emailing (or calling) them first and expressing your needs, I am sure they will try to accomodate you the best they can.

    Good Luck

  3. I suppose that you've tried using two identical ema's, i.e., same period and then shifting one of them?

I am not sure if I understand what you mean by shifting one of them?

  6. Stop back in and let us know how it goes.

If they can't do it for you QuoteTracker can accomplish this task with ease.

  7. Try it. ema can be shifted forward or backward. If one is shifted forward, the other will cross. When the trend changes.

I sure will try! Are you familliar with OpenEcry? I am not sure how to shift a moving average. I cant seem to find that function. Do you need to edit the coding?

No code tweaking needed ... in your active chart, bring up the active indicators, and properties for the MA in question. In the Displacement value, change it to whatever 'shift' (offset) you want, such as -1 or +1.

    Thanks for your help!
I have tried that out now. I personally like a single moving avereage which change color better. I think it looks more clean. But this is certainly an option.

I have sent trade support at Open E Cry an email, so I hope they can resolve this!
