Does anyone know of any (if there's any) private/ non-premium trading groups or Discord rooms for experienced traders looking to join & collaborate with other traders, and share info, ideas, etc ??
I'm not being funny but that's exactly what you're in right now. We have over 40 different "non premium" discussion forums for you to participate in here.
Experienced traders spent many years learning how to trade, they paid thousands of dollars of tuition to the market, and they don’t feel inspired to start collaborating with others to share details their hard work. At least I don’t.
I know a few but they are very private and hard to get into. What kind of value would you add? Do you have a profitable track record or are you not profitable yet and looking for guidance?
Hello JaxsonS, I like this group here below. Very good traders here to learn from. I love it!! https://www.elitetrader.com/

Does not matter where you go, it all ends up the same. People that are sitting on valuable info want equally valuable info in exchange, otherwise they wont participe. So it will end up with 100% clueless fools and beginners. Successful traders usually meet up with people they know and trust in the real world, be it ex-colleges, close friends, etc. and share valuable info between two eyes or close group over some food and drinks.
Yes I'm profitable at this point I've been trading full time since 2019. I'm looking to join a room for experienced traders who've already gone thru the buzzsaw spent all the tuitions, the 10,000 hours of learning and on the other side of finally getting it (or close). Its already a given that trading in a group day in & out significantly increases the odds of long term success and reduces your chance of de-railing and blowing up an account. I havent found any one group available to join or open, so at this point I'm thinking about putting together something myself. It is more beneficial trading in a group as a collaborative team that shares information on potential trades, potential catalysts, and intel to bounce around trade ideas and capiltalize on opportunities you want to discusses. Between the group's experience and each person's individual tools and information pipelines, maybe it will become our own retail investor think tank lol. Let me know if anyone is interested Jack
Just a tip: I recommend being courtesy and pleasant as possible. At the same time you're going to have to be very blunt with people, they will ruthlessly waste your time. Also recommend communicating with them through a voice call as soon as possible. People who are willing to type messages to you all day,but avoid communicating on voice is a huge red flag. It's like 99.9% chance they aren't serious and can't trade.
I been trading since 1978, tried the floor, didn't like it, traded for few oil companies- like being beat up, I enjoyed working for wheat co-op farmers long ago. More like 40000+ hours of screen time, won a couple real money contests. Explored starting a hedge fund, at my age, why get piece of pie when I can make 100% of it. People annoy me, can't be on phone more than 15 minutes with most usually before wanting to barf. Trading has become a job, maxed out on boring. Except for 911, seen everything at least thrice. Once you learn the game, challenges are gone. Yea, still have losses but it part of the game. Got to let the newbies win occasionally to give them hope. Most one year newbies are 1.5 losses a day from breakeven. Money is for nothing and chick's are free.
