Coffee curve

    Have you seen coffee curve shape around Jul - Sep 16 ? It's weird... Is there a change in the contract? It is not stuck quotes.

    Comparing the curve with historic data (-1 month) shows the same pattern...
     
  4. 1) The deferreds are irrelevant ...... unless you're Folgers, Hills Brothers or Starbucks. :cool:
    2) It could be traders on the settlement committee "playing games" with the settlement prices from yesterday. :(

    I find it odd we have a slowly descending curve in 2016( usual ) and then we have september much higher...AFAIK coffee is more like slowly ascending and then flat or slightly descending, but never ascending- descending- and reascending...(Sorry I don't know the lingo)
     
  6. I don't know if coffee has "old crop" and "new crop" months as grains do. It might have something to do with "that". :cool:
